You were lucky the 6mm bolt broke instead of stripping the aluminum thread. The specs I find in the '88 FSM say 7 lb-ft for all the bottom five bolts and I find nothing on the rest. For the F150, 2006 (in particular and others). After doing a better job of reading the Bentley book, I found where it says 17 ft-# for the GA/GB engines. So my questions: What is the torque for these bolts, and any advice to 1) keep the threads from stripping, and 2) keep them from coming loose again? Same for spark plugs, oil grade, grease etc. Sounds kinda sketchy. As I was torquing them, 25 ft-lbs seemed like a huge number for a 5/16 bolt. The old bolts had lock washers on them and the new bolts don't. So the final torque should be 24N. I'll be back in a bit........
