It was particularly amusing when Rufus began sounding out "Oh help, oh no, it's a Gruffalo" at around 9 months:0) I would highly recommend this book for any child. The Gruffalo was written by Julia Donaldson and published in 1999. Love the way the story rhymes. You will need a pencil, crayons, a piece of paper, a marker and an eraser. Right for the Wrong Reasons: In The Gruffalo's Child, the child correctly guesses that the Big Bad Mouse doesn't exist, but she thinks it's because her father was trying to trick her, when actually he'd been tricked himself by the regular-sized mouse. Again, the mouse is too smart for the owl, and tells the story of the gruffalo.
