Planning is well underway for the area's biggest party on the square: The 56th Annual Maple Leaf Festival in Carthage, Missouri. The parade, Leann and I went to eat lunch and then walked around the festival just to have a. good time together. — Residents of Carthage living along the route for Saturday's annual Maple Leaf Parade are marking their territory, making sure that, come Saturday morning, they've got the best view on the block. The Maple Leaf Pageant is open to children as young as newborns to 19-year-olds, vying for a spot in the Maple Leaf Royal Court. Central Park will be buzzing after the parade with the annual tractor show from 10am-3pm. It features marching bands, floats representing local businesses, the Maple Leaf Royal Court and various regional and national performers.
Enjoy a Pumpkin Patch on the square and live entertainment beginning after the parade that includes the Ables, The Flyin' Buzzards, & Pickers Post.
