I just capped of that hole with a bolt and some sealant. If the power steering pump is operated without an adequate amount of fluid, and the pump reservoir will not hold fluid due to a large leak. The pump functions but NOT that great, There is still heavy steering resistance, it is nothing like the videos I have seen as far as steering effort, It is just slightly easier than having no power steering, It was bled free of air. You must remember that the pump draws a lot of current (allow for 60 amps), so you need heavy duty wiring.
