I Wanna Be Where You Are is just the kind of YA contemporary romance I love to read.
Even secondary characters are well-rounded, with their own histories and 's not much plot here, but readers will relish the opportunity to climb inside Autumn's head. I was quite satisfied with the ending, I think it fit the story very well. Chloe's voice immediately felt relatable and real in that way that's really impossible to describe to anyone who doesn't connect that with fictional characters. Brown, author of All That's Left in the World. He was sorta cocky and annoying but in a fun way. This makes I Wanna Be Well a particularly good book to share with anyone who is looking for answers but has not yet discovered the path of Buddhism or Yoga. Want more author interviews? So I'm going to dnf this without prejudice (rating) because really, it's my issue keeping me from engaging. We saw a character who evolved into herself once she was able to go off to college, and get out from under her parents. Her plans don't go quite as she'd hoped, and she ends up on an impromptu road trip with her former friend/current nemesis Eli from across the street and his dog Geezer. THIS WAS ADORABLE-ST (even though there were a few time when I wanted to just talk a hold of Eli and shake him, boys gah). And the romance wrapped up in a realistic way that I actually really liked.
As you might have guessed, we loved this title, and we can warmly recommend it to anyone who wants to ease the suffering in their life. —School Library Journal. Before You Go… A Bite-Sized Review. YES there was a scene where there was only one bed and they had to share but they made a cute scene out of it!! What if, what if, what if. And as much as I dislikes Eli in the beginning, I ended up LOVING him. What does your writing desk look like? Chloe knows that she faces a different set of challenges as a black girl and she's really interested in a conservatory ran by a black male dancer who strives to represent all bodies and dancers. There's nothing glaringly wrong about it, but yeah 🤷🏻♀️.
It was humorous and just felt like a short romantic comedy movie!! Misunderstood and judged too easily, Eli has everything working against him. I read this in one sitting, in the space of a few hours. I had so much to say, but I just had no idea how to say it. It's been Chloe's dream to move to New York and work at the conservatory founded by her favorite male ballerina. In middle school and the beginning of high school, there was a time when I thought I might be a professional dancer, but writing was something I always loved and enjoyed, so I ended up enrolling in college as a writing major. Kristina Forest has the ability to tell a story in a simple but captivating way. It's got two great characters (one who is so passionate about ballet), a funny fluffball of a dog, and a great road trip with plenty of amazing secondary characters along the way. I was so lucky to get to read this book early, and I read it in one straight sitting. The plot moved smoothly with setting, storytelling and revelations happening at perfect moments. What is about, and why did you decide to write about the subject matter? And it's so refreshing to see a story where the characters are black, but not defined by their blackness or oppression.
She has another book scheduled for Sterling's Spring 2018 list: Some Days. Product dimensions:||6. She's going to be a voice to be reckoned with in YA contemporary romance.
