While it took me a hot minute to get into this book and the idea of winged people, once I was in I was in deep. First, is the pacing of the book. My only complaint is that I'm not a huge fan of the cover. What I didn't like about this book and what stopped it getting 5 stars was the amount of characters that were killed off, especially early on in the book, I liked that he wasn't afraid to kill characters when he needed to, but I don't think it was necessary at some points, and that infact stopped me enjoying the first 100 pages as much as the rest of the book.
