The title really tells everything there is to know about the story but the summary makes the story sound hard hitting and deep which it wasn't, not much at least, and after reading the book, the title itself seems inappropriate but so beautiful. Finn was an overall great character in my opinion.
Like I didn't get out all of the emotions and tears I wanted to and that really frustrated me. Probably why I finished this book in a few hours. The rift between them grows. I may not have had the same experiences as Autumn had in highschool, but the novel rings true. They talk about it and finally kiss. One of the biggest themes in the book is that we often perceive things how we want to perceive them. I haven't even cried because I'm still staring at my wall in shock. The reader learns much more about Autumn's friends, including her obnoxious boyfriend Jamie.

But since I love my viewers (and stalkers, wink wink) I'll write a review. Autumn and Finny, from the outset, you knew that they belonged together. That still doesn't stop the way Autumn feels every time she and Finn cross paths, and the growing, nagging thought that maybe things could have been different.
Books that have a deep meaning just touch my heart because they're pure excellence and amazing compared to other books. And I truly only kept reading to see how it would end. Some readers may have got frustrated with Autumn's decisions, but if I were in her shoes I don't think I would have done it any other way. The author soundly explores the relationship dynamics between childhood friends going through the transition of dealing with hormones and feelings they've never experienced, to the delicate beginnings of love. They grow apart in middle school as Autumn's popularity rises, then the reverse occurs in high school. Yeah, the author did too much on certain things and too little on others. "We all want to still be friends and we still love you" Like shut the fuck up. I was still completely heartbroken and distraught when it happened. She practically worshiped him. It takes you through the 4 years of high school Autumn goes through with her group of misfits. Moving through school and growing up. Fans of YA Contemporary Romance, New Adult, or Coming of Age will also enjoy this book. I couldn't put it into words, and frankly, I'm still having trouble. Maybe I do need to cry.
