I loved this novel, especially its heart and the way it so honestly grapples with the idea of faith and God and, yes, the nexus of intention and belief. Repetitions of the complaint Marion makes: I'm just not a good enough person keep being abundant, while most of the characters seem to continue on their live in broadly the same manner as just before Christmas and all their big life changing events.
