I just couldn't close, and I was getting on my own nerves, I was getting on my editor's nerves, I was getting on my husband's nerves. I enjoyed the countless references to records/albums and artists that I had never even heard of, as well as stories that I didn't know about my favorite artists, not to mention the historical analysis and witty criticism that is a staple of Smith's writing.
