There were some events I didn't see coming. No wonder it is just so very sad. They write and make art about dirt, death, apocalypse, and pop-culture. That it connects us to community with each other, with the water, with the millions of birds, with anyone fighting the forms that the world-ending power of white supremacy takes in cities, in forests, in traffic stops, in books, and in swamps.
It may just be that I am not the target audience, but I can think of plenty of YA books with great jokes. I loved her and her energy, and admire how far she's 'S MY GIRL. There's no info dump at the beginning, which I really really enjoyed. If you love witches, fantasy worlds, drama, and found family then you'll love this too.
