In the male community, self-care isn't something that's often talked about. Radical self care is the key to embracing and living your magical life. It makes you feel small. I do enjoy being busy, but I had been starting to run myself ragged trying to be everything for everyone all the time.
Be willing to stand out from the crowd. When I started practicing being honest with myself about my choices and my life, I realized that I am in control of my own happiness. However, there are some tips that work for the majority of people and will help you begin to master how to take care of yourself. But to be clear, forgiveness isn't about saying what the person did was OK.
You will notice that by simply watching how much you sleep, what you eat and drink and what physical activities you do, you will already feel empowered and much more resilient. Just the choice to take our power back and start living and loving our lives. Self care is a term that traditionally has been used to describe self-initiated actions to stay healthy, prevent disease, and manage long-term illnesses. Carefully choose when you say "yes" and make sure you are only agreeing to activities or requests that align with your values or bring you happiness. Isn't it wonderful how in charge we can be about the way we get treated?
What's Your Reaction? We have to be compassionate with ourselves. Part 4 talked about some great apps to help you practice self care. When you're run down and doing too much, you're ultimately not at your best. Or you took a road trip to a completely new place, or got your adrenaline going with a new fitness activity.
