Due to some very disturbing content, I would suggest that this book is read by adults only. Every time she gets close to finding Mindel, something happens to stand in her way. Rachael and Mindel's story is heart-breaking, when the family farm is lost to the Nazis and their parents taken away by the gestapo, Rachel tries to flee to a convent 20 miles away with her two small brothers and baby sister.
