I also appreciate that MFW is more innocent. We also did SL LA K, Science K, and parts of Science 1. Praying that God will direct your choice. For High School it is actually more budget friendly for us to do Sonlight, which is what we are doing. No notes about books in TM. Loved seeing the titles again in MFW as well. I'm leaning towards Sonlight or My Father's World for next year. And my oldest is only in 3rd grade. And I had the option of choosing which books to read in which language without having had invested a lot already. My oldest liked the way the high school program looked, and easily chose his program.
The next year we used MFW Adventures - like I said, life was good. MFW recommends Singapore math, but since it is not included in the basic or deluxe package, I can easily purchase another distributor without loosing money. If you have more than one child in 2nd to 8th grade, this is a HUGE SELLER. We have no regrets in using MFW. We all look forward to our bi-weekly Monday afternoon trip to the library, and the boys picked their own books as I pick up the books we will need for the next two weeks.
We love MFW and have been using it for 3 years now. Just buy separate student sheets (one set per child), and it will save you so much money. Heart I'm going to spend some more time at their site... Mama Calidad. In fact, I still have many of them today I read to my younger ones. I think MFW does a better job of incorporating all 3 learning styles.
I want to make sure the kids have a good solid history base but 60 to 90 minutes of history READING each day is a lot more than I was willing to do with more than one child. With book basket, you can have other titles than the ones on the MFW list and MFW will still work for you and work very well. I looked at Sonlight and bought quite a few of the Kindergarten books. The World Geography book is a little over their heads, so we have only done a few of those pages. I'm trying to foster a love of reading in them! He didn't like it because the Bible portion was not Genesis. This makes the cost MUCH cheaper, but I still get that time with them.

I ended up using the theme schedule offered on SL Preschool Yahoo Group because I wasn't liking the layout of SL's IG. This J's where its hard to coteach. THey give you so much to choose from that it is overwhelming- of course their suggestions are all so good that it is hard to leave anything out.
