While I'd figured out quite a bit by the 50% mark, there were still enough surprises - one that completely shocked me. My favourite character was Meggy she was a tough little cookie very strong & showed no fear she showed tenacity beyond her years only twelve, to me she stood out for me this was a very entertaining read that i could not put down. There was a couple of times I thought the author was adding things to impress me with her knowledge of the subject, but that was fine with me because I WAS impressed. Initially, I felt this was a major plot hole, but you must let the supernatural element play out, for the truth to be revealed. The third person narrative disrupted the flow at some points as you could mid chapter be hearing the thoughts of one of the captives and suddenly be in the thoughts of another and I would have loved to had each have their own chapter and not switch perspective mid stream.
