I thought the way she organized the book was thoughtful, beautiful, and transformative in itself. All I hope is that you read After the Rain and find this—peace, wisdom, acceptance—too. It's just like the sub-title says, gentle reminders for healing, love and self-care and comes with little nuggets of the times the author caught on her 'aha' moments. If you're looking for a memoir, it could be right up your alley. To trust the flow of my river, even when no one is around to help or guide me. I loved how honest, vulnerable, and open she was with her story. After the Rain is described as "part-memoir, part-guide" that a reader can read to inform their own own personal development while learning more about Alexandra Elle. Perhaps, even, makes you want to forget who you are and who you were and all it's taken to get here.
