During the summer months, social activities and special events are scheduled for the young adults and posted in the City Church Young Adults Facebook Group. This group will meet in the Student Room at Canvas Church next to Countryside Animal Hospital. In her free time, Kelly enjoys playing tennis and spending time with her family. We always eat together before every event.
We have two main channels of community for you to connect with people who are in the same phase of life: Active College – 18 years – Mid 20's. Our service times are 8:30am, 10am, and 11:30am. Everyone is welcome at the table! The porch is still that place, and we're here to help 18-20 somethings connect to God, experience authentic community, and find a place to call home. Hobbies: thrifting, traveling with Andrew, reading, Enneagram, dressing up our baby Stevie! We believe in the power of community and this event exists to connect the young adult community at Canvas Church. Transit is designed for young adults, single or married, ages 18-35. Our Young Adults ministry exists to both practice our faith and nurture Christ-like leadership right here in our community, equipping one another to carry the broad love of God into the world. Kelly works as a genetic counselor at IU North and Riley Hospitals and coordinates IU Health's Kate Cares Stillbirth Assessment Program, which helps families find answers to questions and provides support following devastating losses. Gracie's childhood was largely shaped by her passion for ballet which now informs her understanding of the Christian faith as lived out through our bodies in the dance of community. Sensing that the Lord had other things ahead for him, he discerned a call to ministry and continues to be grateful to serve in the body of Christ as a pastor. She believes – as followers of a God who took on flesh, moved into the neighborhood, and spread out those arms on the cross to embrace the world – it is our joy and our responsibility to show up for one another, form deep relationships, and join Jesus Christ in healing the world. The community of young adults at Second is a vibrant group made up of disciples seeking to grow in community – both at Second and across our city – through the abiding love of Jesus Christ. A larger, weekly gathering of Young Adults for Worship, Teaching and Community. The purpose of The Collective is to help Young Adults connect with Jesus, one another, and our larger church community. We meet at Second and all around Indy; we study scripture and share a deep, faithful call to love and care for our neighbors ( Matthew 25); and, we take seriously the spiritual work of welcome and hospitality for all (the mission statement of Second).
