Paula sings while the little girl models in the video have their pictures taken. The supermodels acting as the "singers" of the song just seems great to me and I love the song anyway. For any one who loves romantic, intimate songs, this is definately one of them that shines along with a very powerful video to tell the story. That means there are 26 songs here, all with the name of a girl in the title. I: 'Irene' by Mike Oldfield (2014). I saw this video on an early 80's music t. v show called "Sounds". Might be a personal thing, but I like this song a lot. One of my favourite S&G songs, but one I first heard as a cover version by Suggs, lead singer of Madness. One of Costello's best tracks, and one I related to as I watched my own grandfather slip into his own world. A truly beautiful music video, perfect to match the greatest Christmas song of all time! This did mean a couple of Beach Boys' songs missed out, but that's okay. Not the Eric Clapton unplugged version, but the original rock version, with that incredible outro of Clapton and Duane Allman trading guitar licks over glorious piano playing. "The Bugaloos" style centipede costumes kill me. "FUNKYTOWN", by LIPPS INC. OMG this song was the BEST.... They need to make a comeback. Do You Have a Song to Share? This is a classic video. It starts out looking at Sweden (the homeland of the members of Europe) then it cuts into a clock ticking on the wall and then it starts counting down (appropriately) 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 GO! "Faithful", by Go West. It's such a great video, very '80s in its concept, but still, wonderful and pleasing to watch. G: 'Gloria' by Laura Branigan (1982). And there you have it. Essentially named for Hurricane Irene, this song is a great piece of rock music from one of Oldfield's more recent albums, and one of his better albums for many years. Because it is a feel good song. Sleepwalk My Life Away. Some Kind of Monster. Let's stick with the incredibly depressing songs, even if the singing is quite wonderful and the instrumentation is really strong. In Australia back then shows like "sounds" and "Countdown" were great to watch.
