Save it to your phone before your go. We are conveniently located at the gateway to the Pisgah National forest where you can actually ride straight from your room to the trail. This is a steep climb and comes out on some slickrock openings. It is located in a peaceful setting and only 5 minutes to town and Pisgah National Forest. In a tenth of a mile, the route turns right to descend the staircase leading to the top two tiers of Triple Falls' three consecutive waterfalls. Reservations are $25-$60, depending on the size of the shelter. The forest was established in September 2018 with the intention to combine natural resource conservation objectives while providing recreation opportunities. After you turn onto Cascade Lake Road, pass the fire station and make an immediate right onto Reasonover Road. You can now easily visit attractions like High Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and Lake Juilia all in one trip, without having to drive from one side of the forest to the other! The hike reaches a short spur trail to Lower Triple Falls, hanging another right to visit the base of the lower waterfall.
But note that these trails are also marquee routes for horseback riders. It is one of the most recommended cabins for people searching for the perfect escape in the Land of Waterfalls; Brevard, NC. That's not as big of an issue in Dupont. On the south side of DuPont is the Fawn Lake parking area, providing access to the water body of the same name which is another popular swimming hole in warm weather. Other notable waterfalls in DuPont include Grassy Creek Falls, Wintergreen Falls, and Hooker Falls. However, the kitchen only had basic supplies, but this may have been due to Covid.
