It's nice to once in a while watch a drama that could happen in real life and somehow I found myself recognizing so much that happened to my daily life. This is not a show you rewatch though. After a mediocre feature sequel and a direct-to-DVD follow-up, I Know What You Did Last Summer is back with a full reboot that reinvents the tale for the post-Millennial generation. In 2021, a remake TV series was made on Amazon Prime, and followed much more of the murder mystery tone of the original novel (despite the plot being very different). I mean, we would work on one scene for the entire day. Not quite the slasher I was expecting it to be, I Know What You Did Last Summer works much like Lois Duncan's original novel but does so with a modern, 21st-century story. The overall story is not THAT great though: in my opinion it lacked a little something, you know, that thing that can hook you up for the whole series and which is originally provided by the main characters.
