I like to mix it up every once in a while in hopes of avoiding that dreaded book slump. Prince Alistair isn't an ordinary dragon. However, the actual romance between them is a slow burn as they gradually open up to each other. The main Royal characters have mystical powers, there are vengeful Gods, war, love, treachery, caring, betrayal. When King Vor meets the lively Princess Ilsevel, he quickly agrees to a marriage arrangement. I instantly loved Kham and Wynter, their strengths and weakness and oh god the sass.
