I could also feel the desire pulsing between them, even when things were more strictly platonic, and how much it hurts to want when you can't read each other's minds and know they feel the same way. It's a v-e-r-y slow burn (and kinda annoying in that way), and I related to Alex and his carefully thinking through than Poppy's impulsivity.
