File along with the "German M" groups like Moira, Mosaik, Munju, Missus Beastly and Morpheus. Kollektiv's album on Brain is one of those Krautrock gems that few paid attention to until recent times. Like the post-punk movement that was primarily centered in Britain, no wave drew from the artier side of punk -- but where British post-punk was mostly cold and despairing, no wave was harsh, abrasive, and aggressively confrontational.
So naturally this is a jazz fusion work... All new material, it is in effect a brand new studio release and the recording is stellar.
