The North Face Superlight 0. Have never gotten cold. We used them several times after that in temperatures that dipped into the 40's and did ok. Good construction, a bit tight for me. When hand-washed came back to 90% each of three times it got washed over the years (plus the rental before they sold it). TNF'S outerwear is not that bad though, if you can get it on sale. What I really want to know is if the bag will zip into a male model? Unlike people who log on just to trash a product they don't really own, I've used both the new and the old NF Cat's Meow and they are well-thought out products that perform pretty close to their temperature claims. I love that the bag fits my size (I'm 5'2") although, I wonder if anyone more than an inch or two taller than me would be able to use it. Overall, it was money worth spent. The bag is highly compressable and lightweight -- plus lives up to the 0 degree rating. My first trip with it was a trip where it snowed and rained so it was super humid and I was fine, nice and dry. Zipper tends to catch if not eased up or down. I would not put anything hard in there lest it poke me while sleeping, and I would not put anything delicate there because I would smash it while sleeping. I was dissapointed about it until I stuck my head outside the bag where it was below zero. A versatile sleeping bag like the Cat's Meow is perfect for three season mountaineering. 20 degrees is TRULY a survival temperature on this entry-level bag. I like to stretch a little more then it allowed. I am also a Southern Californian who is less adaptable to weather changes. Choosing between these two companies, let alone choosing the right sleeping bag, can be a real challenge.
