Then there's the climax of the book which, while not bad, is a little anti-climactic when you compare it to the other endings in the series. These comprise books 7-10 and are perhaps a little slower in pace than the previous books. Mat's character development was quite good in this book, and I really liked how he ended up freeing those Seanchan captives.
