I gave this book 4 stars and I recommend this read. Part mystery, part love story, This Won't End Well is a lesson in empowerment, and a beautiful reminder that we get by with a little help from our friends. I absolutely adored this book! To now make ends meet - and originating from the constant cleaning up after her widowed mother, who has some hoarding tendencies - loner Annie becomes a cleaning lady for hire to several of the friendly older residents in her neighborhood. That left you feeling enchanted and captivated?
I love Pagán's writing so much, and I really need to stop putting off reading her backlist because I love everything I read by her. She's spending more time with Mo and finds that she likes him. This Won't End Well - with all of its humor and heart - was a joy to read. Harper really peaks Annie's interest. I don't get many emails, so I was intrigued. Big thank you to Lake Union for my gifted copy of this book. This won't end well camille pagan. I was sure he was going to screw others too) She was being charged with sexual harassment when it was the other way around. Its characters are so simple and real that you always identify with one of them. This was my first book by this particular author and at the reviews had been good. A well written, fun read with a characters that are relatable and loveable. And it made me think about how much I follow my heart.
I highly recommend reading it. Recommended: This Won't End Well came to me at just the time I was looking for something light, easy reading, engaging, entertaining, and redemptive. When Marissa falls in love with Nathan, whom she meets during her job at the coffee shop downtown, she decides to keep their relationship a secret, until she realises Julia is also attracted to him as well - forcing Marissa to make a decision between romance and friendship. That was the gist of the letter. This book is mainly about relationships and though I am not a fan of delving too much into the emotional issues of such, the writing in the form of emails for the most part interspersed with chapters of the story added a variance to this book. On the one hand, she realises that people aren't only the cause of pain, but they are also the cause of happiness. I would recommend it if you enjoy women's fiction. Praise for this book. The book took my heart by a storm and I JUST COULDN'T STOP SMILING. This is definitely a feel-good read that will make you smile through any tears you might shed, and I highly recommend it! Adding insult to injury, Annie is also experiencing a possibly unrepairable rift with her BFF Leesa. Epistolary novels are my jam, and this one was extremely effective in its delivery.
