Some of us are good, others are bad, and some just unfortunate. Also, I wish there was MORE humour in the book. But hey, don't pay much attention to me: This book has an overall 4-star rating. Finlay is really at her wit's end when her ex husband fires her nanny, she can't handle it all, not the kids, the house, the overdue bills and unfinished book.
Elle Cosimano displays an assured light touch and deft humour in the first of her Finlay Donovan crime series. She really brought this story to life, giving each character their own personality, and infusing just the right amount of tension and emotion into her voice as needed. She finally makes it to Panera for her meeting with Sylvia and describes the murder plot of her book over lunch. This is one of those books where I would never do the things that the main character does but still I had so much fun laughing at her, her bad judgement, and her predicaments. The fun doesn't end with just one book. The book is fast-paced as Finlay and Vero work together to figure out who is trying to kill Steven. Yes, I usually like my thrillers more believable than this. With a husband who works long hours trying to make partner and two rambunctious kids that are running her ragged, Margie Peterson is like any other worn-out suburban mom. When the married mother stumbles upon evidence suggesting someone close to her may have ties to the heinous crime the nation can't stop talking about, she's forced to dive headfirst into an ocean of secrets she never knew existed. Because I thought I worked for a vampire in yoga pants. Original and sooooo much fun! I really appreciate it. Finlay donovan is killing it spoiler tv. What happened in Finlay Donovan is Killing It by Elle Cosimano. Not understanding they were discussing the plot of Finlay's floundering novel, this woman now mistakenly believes Finlay to be a successful contract killer. Andrei shot himself after Fin threw dust in his eyes. So, begins this comedy of errors for Finlay, and her unlikely accomplice-her former nanny Vero.
