I'm glad modern, young horror writers have a grip on how to use technology without it becoming a hinderance or devolving into occasional cheesy territory, unlike some veterans of the genre. If you, like me, added this to your tbr thinking it would be about a knock-off Alexa gone bad, I suggest you look elsewhere because this book has very little to do with technology (but rather it gives us the same ol' cosmic horror). Overall, I really did enjoy this book and thought it was pretty great as a horror book. Only major contnet warning otherwise is that bad things happen to a dog for those of you who are sensitive to that.
