I have a Bosch alternator unit. Hi I am new to owning a Cerb striaght ticed pas belt was badly frayed anyway in trying to remove the shoulder which holds the aux drive shaft I sheared a hex head so need to remove alternator drive puley trying to do so with pullers was really tight. The tool being used here is a power impact wrench, not a drill. A straight wrench will not work since it is recessed. I don't have an impact gun. Removal of the side splash guard is necessary as well as the serpentine belt, obviously. The washer (which didn't even fit properly) had been placed there by a PO to prevent the pulley flange from rubbing against the rear face of the alternator. But DON'T get the "power pulley" version. I usually loosen all the bolts and nuts while the belt is on so that they won't move.
